Program Overview

Hamilton Serbians delivers high-quality, fun, year-round soccer programming! Our age-appropriate programs thrive with dedicated coaches, volunteers, sponsors, partnerships within our community, and athletes that keep coming back to play!

Little Eagles / Mini Eagles

Practice plan template LITTLE EAGLES (60 MINUTES TRAINING)

First 30 minutes → physical literacy (run, skip, hop, etc) & technical skills (dribbling the ball, running with the ball, moves, passing, shooting, etc)

Last 30 minutes → small sided games: split the age groups and play games (depending on the numbers each week, anything of 5v5 4v4 3v3 format)

Ratio of players per coaches ideally 5 to 1, maximum 8 to 1

⇒ ask parents to commit to be a facilitator/coach for the age group, if we can get 3-5 for each group that would be perfect. They would be provided with play structure and guidance.

⇒ based on enrollment, girls stay in their age groups, otherwise group together U7 and U6 girls, and U5 and U4 girls; then make weekly teams based on attendance

⇒ based on enrollment, boys stay in their age groups, if enough players to make 4 teams each week (i.e. if only 12 show up, 4 teams of 3 players and 3v3 game, if everyone shows up it is 4 teams of 5 players for 5v5, or 6 teams of 4 for 4v4)

Practice plan template MINI EAGLES (30 MINUTES TRAINING)

Main focus → physical literacy (run, skip, hop, etc) and technical skills (dribbling the ball, running with the ball, moves, passing, shooting, etc)

If time permits → small sided games: split the age groups and play games (depending on the numbers each week, anything of 5v5 4v4 3v3 format)

⇒ players on the field with parents, we need a head coach to just lead the practice

MAKE IT FUN!!
