Hamilton Serbians has taken the Responsible Coaching Movement Pledge!
The heart of Hamilton Serbians is our youth players and growing our club to have age-appropriate programs for athletes of all ages to enjoy playing today and into the future!
Many of players continue to participate in soccer years after as game officials; return to volunteer in our club programs, events; and have certified themselves as our current team coaches!
All our programs are led by dedicated volunteer coaches that follow the Ontario Soccer Grassroots and Talented Pathway development model under the lead of our Technical Director. The Technical Director provides weekly and monthly training guidelines to ensure all our coaches are delivering age-appropriate training for athletes to have fun playing soccer, learn new skills and build friendships.
Hamilton Serbians pays for your coaching course fees! We strive to ensure all team officials have the necessary certifications and appropriate screening in order to work with our athletes to develop soccer skills and give effective feedback, in a safe and appropriate environment for all.
Hamilton Serbians Soccer Club executive actions and leadership have an unwavering dedication to the commitment of compliance of our governing organizations; to player safety and development; to coaches training and development; to positive community relations; and to providing enjoyable soccer experiences for all participants.
→ NCCP Number (National Coaching Certification Program Number)
Through "The Locker" (new coaches this is where you get your NCCP number) and for existing coaches "The Locker" is where you view all your completed courses and coaching certifications.
→ Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (issue date to be within the last 3 years) Approx. $25 plus $10 online processing fee. Need ID (drivers license or passport) to complete online and it must be sent only to you, the applicant, directly.
→ Respect in Sport Activity Leader Certificate (valid for 5 years)
→ NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Training Workshop Course Completion (3.5 hours online)
→ NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Online Evaluation completed
→ NCCP Making Head Way In Sport (online, 90minutes)
→ NCCP Emergency Action Plan completed (online, 15 minutes)
→ NCCP ‘Understanding the Rule of Two’ completed (online, 20minutes)
→ Grassroots Coach Education program workshop completed
